The president made a speech in Tehran on Sunday when he met with Tajikistani Foreign Minister Shirojdin Muriddin. The top Tajikistan diplomat was in Iran and attended the two-day Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025, kicked off early in the day, bringing together senior officials and diplomats from 53 countries and the United Nations.
Pezeshkian said Iran and Tajikistan could also work to pave the way for cooperation between businessmen, industrialists and scholars, with the aim of bringing prosperity to the people.
The Tajikistan Foreign Minister gave a warm greeting from the President to Pezeshkian.
Muhriddin also praised President Pezeschkian in his speech at the Tehran Dialogue Forum. Referring to Pezeshkian’s call to avoid conflict and tackle interaction and friendship, Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister said the fulfillment of such an attitude is an undeniable necessity for today’s world.
He also noted the desired level of cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in trade, politics and tourism, saying his country is also interested in expanding cooperation with Tehran within international and regional organizations.
Mehruddin also said that cancellation of visa requirements between the two countries is an appropriate foundation for enhancing tourist exchanges and increasing relationships between people.
