Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian commented during a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Huad Hussein held in Tehran on Monday.
At the meeting, President Pezeshkian said Tehran is ready to provide peaceful nuclear achievements to Iraqis.
He stressed that Iran’s Islamic Republic will never accept bullying or excessive demands from the US, adding that the Islamic Republic will “not take away the state from the peaceful achievements of the nuclear industry in the fields of health, treatment, agriculture and industry.”
Pezeshkian went on to emphasize that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not seek permission from the United States or other side in pursuit of the right to develop and use the peaceful nuclear industry.
He went on to say that Iran is ready to assure the United States that it will not build nuclear weapons. “If the US government is truly concerned about the suspicions of Iran’s nuclear weapon development, we are ready to assure you,” he said.
Iran and the US delegations held four rounds of indirect talks on Tehran’s nuclear program and lifting US sanctions in Oman’s capital Muscat and Rome, Italy. The parties have explained that consultations are positive, useful and moving forward.
