Commuters are stuck at the busy Sydney station before peak hours due to power outages at Strathfield stations in the city.
According to Anadolu News Agency, those traveling on the T1, T2, T3 and T9 lineage are encouraged to have plenty of time and look for alternative ways to get home.
Some of the train’s rooftop power connectors were intertwined with the overhead power line and brought the line to a truck near Homebush just before 2:30pm on Tuesday.
The train stopped with 300 passengers still on board, 9News reported.
The train passengers have been in place since 2:45pm – it is understood that they finally left after 5pm.
Transportation by NSW coordinator Howard Collins said reporters’ work is ongoing to isolate electricity on the train so that passengers can evacuate safely.
