Speaking at a ceremony in the capital Sanaa on Wednesday, President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat said, “I highlighted full preparations for parts of the country to stand up to fresh attacks from the US and its mercensors, or Zionist America.
Citing the incident relating to Yemen’s preparations for operations, he noted how the whole country was enacted and united after the launch of the Israeli regime’s war of massacre in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
“Yemen has shown a national consensus to support Palestine,” he said. He mentioned hundreds of strikes Sanaa has been carrying out since the start of the war against sensitive, strategic Israeli targets.
According to news television, Mashat reminded him that “everyone united and united in the face of Zionist-American attacks,” and pointed out that the country would defend itself after the US and Israeli regimes attack Yemen and began to stop the pro-Palestinian strike.
Meanwhile, a senior official said Tel Aviv and its supporter Washington are not simply targeting the local nation, but “they are attacking the entire (Islamic) country.”
However, Mashat argued that Yemen would not only refuse to give up on the Gaza people, but would also refuse to further strengthen its military power in order to better attack the war-stricken Palestinian-backed regime and its allies in the coastal ditch.
“Once again, we assert our religious and principled attitude in supporting the oppressed Palestinians and the residents of Gaza,” the official said.
“The people of Gaza must know that we are working on our decisions. We are tailoring all our capabilities to their demands,” arguing that the administration is deploying and is almost under siege against Gaza at the same time.
The remarks came on the same day that the local resistance outlet reported that Yemeni missiles had reached the centre of the occupied Palestinian territory before causing a “big explosion” throughout the target area.
The massive amount of projectiles have been fired towards the territory since the onset of genocide, but are reported to have repeatedly generated missile sirens in Tel Aviv city and elsewhere in the central region.
