The Chinese ambassador for Tehran Kong Peiu held a meeting in Tehran on Saturday with Medi Sanaei, political advisor to President Masuud Pezeshkian.
At the meeting, Sanaei said trilateral relations between Iran, China and Russia are expanding and diversifying.
“It underscores the need to implement contracts and remove obstacles to implementing commitments,” an Iranian official said.
The Chinese ambassador, on his side, the history of the relationship between two great Asian civilizations, Iran and China, dates back 2,000 years ago.
“The Chinese President also said he is paying special attention to continuing friendly and strategic ties with Iran,” Peiu said.
“We hope that the president of Islamic Republic of Iran will be taking part in the Shanghai Summit held in China this year,” the ambassador added.
