In an interview with the Iranian newspaper published on Sunday, AREF said Iran has never pursued unsafe nuclear activities and will continue to maintain this stance.
Iran’s nuclear doctrine explicitly excludes the use of nuclear weapons, he said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he touched on the ongoing indirect consultations between Iran and the United States, adding that successful consultations require mutual respect and equality between aspects.
He emphasized that Iran is open to dialogue, but one side will not accept negotiations that unfairly impose the demands.
Aleph hopes that indirect talks between Tehran and Washington could lead to positive outcomes, including lifting sanctions.
