In his X-account post, Sanaei writes that Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian will receive Shebaz Sharif, the prime minister of neighboring Pakistan, who will arrive in Tehran to the chief of a high-ranking political delegation later on Sunday.
There is a deep historical cultural ties between the two countries, with trade between Iran and Pakistan exceeding $3 billion in 2024, Peshshkian adviser added.
The two countries are in ongoing consultations to maintain stability in the region, Sanaei noted.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that Pakistan Prime Minister Mohammed Shebaz Sharif will officially visit Iran’s Islamic Republic on Sunday.
A statement from the Islamabad Government Diplomacy Centre said Pakistan Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif will have extensive discussions with senior Iranian officials on a wide range of issues relating to bilateral relations, regional and international issues.
