Yemeni Army spokesman Yahya Sarie said in a statement later Thursday that the anti-Israel operations carried out on two Palestinian hypersonic ballistic missiles were in support of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and “in response to an attack on Sububus in southern Beirut.”
“Yemeni missile forces have used Palestinian bipolar sound ballistic missiles to carry out a military operation targeting LOD airport in the occupied region of Jaffa,” Saree said.
“Thanks to Allah, this operation has achieved its target and forced millions of occupyers to flee to shelter and stop air traffic at the airport.”
The spokesman emphasized that the Yemeni army had salute “the proud, glorious, glorious Gaza and all the steady, loyal, sincere fighters of resistance throughout Palestine, and the frontline defenders of the entire Islamic State.”
The statement reaffirmed the unwavering attitude between the Yemeni people and their military’s Palestinians and their resistance “until the attack ceases and the siege is lifted.”
Thursday’s ballistic missile attack is the first time Yemen has announced that it was operated against Israeli-occupied territories in response to the onslaught of the regime on Lebanese soil.
The Israeli occupation carried out eight airstrikes targeting residential buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Thursday, with Israel Channel 14 saying the attacks are working with the US.
