Iran’s Central Bank Governor (CBI) Mohammad Reza Farzin made comments during a meeting with the head of BRICS New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff in China’s Beijing capital on Friday.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the role of BRICS New Development Bank in advancing the goals of developing countries and emerging economies.
Additionally, Farzin and Rusev highlighted the approval of the Shanghai Development Bank by member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to establish the Shanghai Development Bank, and pointed out the role and membership of Iran in international and regional institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB) Group, ISLAMIC DEVELATION BANK (IDB), ASIANIAR BANK and ISLAMIC DEVELATION BANK.
As a member of the International Monetary Fund’s board of directors, Iran’s Islamic Republic is chaired by one of its eight countries group.
Referring to Iran’s favourable economic performance in recent years, the CBI governor pointed to Iran’s geographical, natural and human capabilities, as well as the favourable relationships and cooperation with the founding countries of Iranian banks (India, South Africa, Russia, Brazil, China), and announced that it will further strengthen dialogue with Iranian banks and promote Iran’s preparations to strengthen dialogue with banks and banks.
Farzin invited Dilma Rusev to attend the Asia Clearing Union (ACU) Summit in Tehran in the coming months.
The president of BRICS New Development Bank pointed to Iran’s economic strength in the region, saying that Iran’s positive economic indicators are certainly effective in advancing the goals of BRICS New Development Bank.
BRICS New Development Bank was founded in 2014 in collaboration with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Banks will mobilize resources for the implementation of infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS Member States through the allocation of loans, guarantees and other financial products.
