European countries also accused Iran of “hardly leaving the JCPOA commitment and gaining irreversible knowledge.”
They also argued that Iran had significantly increased production and accumulation of highly enriched uranium, increasing its expansion and raising concerns with “a significant increase in material enriched at 60%.”
E3 further said in a statement released on the European Union’s website that “Iran has halted implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA.”
They further argued that “Iran is the only nuclear-free state that produces and accumulates highly enriched uranium in significantly increased quantities.”
Iran continues to work fully with the agency’s inspectors, but a statement from the European state reads that Iran has reduced cooperation with the agency.
The unified statement at the board meeting also repeated the same accusations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
Like the EU statement, the US statement reminds us of the latest IAEA director’s report on the Iranian nuclear program, saying, “The director emphasizes that the rapid accumulation of Iran’s extremely rich uranium is a serious concern.
“The United States is negotiating in good faith to reach a deal,” the US statement further read.
“We will repeatedly support the General Director’s efforts to pursue constructive engagement with Iran. We will achieve the necessary cooperation and address issues that need to be resolved. We will clearly call on Iran to effectively engage with the IAEA without further delay.”
