Pakistan’s UN ambassador, Pakistan’s permanent representative to Asim Iftical Ahmad, strongly condemned Israel’s “unjust and illegal” attacks on Israel, reaffirming that Islamabad was in decisive solidarity with the Iranian government and its people.
In response to Israel’s strike against Iran, Pakistan’s permanent mission to the United Nations wrote in x Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s unfair and illegal attacks on the Islamic Republic.
“Pakistan has a firm solidarity with its Iranian brothers. We express our sympathy and sadness for the loss and damage of life caused by these heinous attacks.”
The Israeli military strike violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic in Iran, and clearly violated the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of the international law, the statement read.
We explicitly condemn these blatant provocations. This constitutes a serious danger and a serious threat to the peace, security and stability of the entire region, and has serious implications.
Pakistan’s permanent mission to the United Nations said Iran has the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Overnight on Friday, the Israeli regime launched a series of military strikes in Tehran and other Iranian cities. In a massive escalation, the Tel Aviv regime also targeted home construction in and nearby Tehran.
Israeli forces also carried out targeted strikes against brass, the top Iranian forces. The commander of Iranian military chief of staff, Major General Mohammad Bakeli and Major General Hossein Salami of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was one of the military officials assassinated in Tehran.
Generals Mehdi Rabani and General Golamleza Merabi, both senior officials in the Iranian army, also marched in the attacks of the Zionist regime.
