The chief of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian on Saturday evening.
Pezeshkian told Emir: “From day one, we could see that they tried to strengthen cooperation with neighboring and Muslim countries with the aim of growing and progressing the region, but from day one, the Zionist regime tried to disrupt this process and plunge the region into chaos.”
He condemned the US support for the Israeli regime in its attack on Iran, stressing that the US cannot use the warmth of the Israeli regime to impose its undue demands on Tehran on consultations.
Pezeshkian called for Islamic unity in the face of the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza, saying, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is capable of protecting itself and will not hesitate to stand up against the violation of the integrity of its territory and the rights of its people.”
“We believe that Qatar condemns this ward diseased attack on the strongest possible conditions and has the full right to respond,” Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani said.
“Qatar stands with his Iranian brothers and supports the doctrine of involvement and dialogue to resolve conflicts and establish peace and security. It also supports the integration of cooperation and pressures to stop the attacks of the Zionist regime, whilst communicating this position to other countries in diplomatic interaction,” EMIR added.
