In an interview with Austrian media OE24 released on Tuesday, Eshrag Jafromi said the Israeli regime began a strike against Iran when Tehran and the United States were pursuing nuclear negotiations in line with achieving an acceptable framework that encompasses Iran’s rights and interests.
The Israeli government’s strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities is considered a blatant violation of international law and the principles and basic regulations of the UN Charter, he said.
Israel’s attacks oppose the laws and resolutions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and are considered a violation of the Islamic Republic’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, he added.
A large number of civilians, including innocent women and children, have been killed as a result of an invasion of Israeli residential areas, he said.
Tehran’s nuclear program is completely peaceful, he said, and the IAEA is fully overseeing Iran’s activities.
He rejected Israel’s claim that it caused significant damage to Israel’s nuclear facilities, adding that an investigation is ongoing in this regard.
The Islamic Republic maintains an intransitable right to protect itself, officials said Iran’s response is solid and will induce regret.
Iran is not trying to escalate tensions, he said. However, Tehran is responding to Israeli attacks.
The Islamic Republic will only halt punitive action if the regime ends a strike against Iranian soil, Eshragh Jafro said.
According to Iranian envoys, all responsible members of the United Nations must firmly condemn Israel’s strike.
Iran is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and its nuclear program is completely peaceful and operates under the full IAEA protection measures, officials said.
Meanwhile, Israel is not a member of N.pt., but poses a serious threat to world peace and security, he pointed out.
The Israeli regime attacked Iranian territory, including residential buildings, in an unattacked act of attack on June 13th overnight. When the house was hit directly, the civilian died. The entire population center was affected.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, appointed a new military commander that same day, saying life would be dark for Israel. Shortly afterwards, Iranian forces promised Israel to “open the gates of hell,” and began punitive strikes within Israel’s territory, attacking targets such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa with ballistic missiles and drones.
Life halted in the occupied territories as Israelis spent every day in underground bomb shelters.
Iranian officials say the mission will continue as long as necessary.
