He spoke in a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, emphasizing that uncertainty in the region was a direct result of US-Israel conspiracy.
Peshshkian condemned the country’s nuclear powers for the active actions of the US government, stressing that “what we are witnessing around the world is a worrying and unacceptable trend, especially as countries pursuing peaceful nuclear activities within the framework of international rules and regulations (IAEAs) are being attacked, particularly under the strict supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Pezeshkian pointed to the history of the Israeli regime’s criminal acts, saying, “What we’re witnessing in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and now in Iran is all about enriching and massacreing innocent children, women and civilians.”
He said that recent Israeli attacks on Iran’s Islamic Republic have been taken with direct and overt support from the US and several European countries, and that they have failed, imagining that the US and some European countries could prevent Iran from pursuing a legitimate right to peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Iran’s Islamic Republic reserves the right to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Pezeshkian emphasized.
Pezeskian further noted that Iran had very good cooperation and interaction between the Iranian Republic and international organizations, noting that Iran has never acted beyond the framework of international law and regulations.
The Indian Prime Minister, on his part, emphasized the role of peace, stability and security in securing the benefits of unity, pointing out that India will use all of its possibilities to stop the conflicts spreading across the region.
Modi said India is working to strengthen bilateral and regional ties with Iran’s Islamic Republic, and India has always supported Iran’s friendly country.
