A spokesman for the crisis management department of Iran’s central QOM province said there was a new attack on Fordow’s peaceful nuclear site, adding that the attack poses no threat to civilians.
In an interview Monday afternoon, Morteza Heidali said, “Some time ago, an offensive enemy attacked Fold again.”
Heidari quoted officials from Iran’s atomic energy organization saying “there would be no danger or threat to the citizens” from the new attack on the facility.
The US, in partnership with the Israeli regime, launched an attack on three nuclear sites on Sunday morning, Foldo, Natanz and Isfahan, urging international condemnation.
Iran says that the US attack on its peaceful nuclear site violates all international rules and regulations, including the UN Charter, and warns that the Islamic Republic reserves all options for defending its sovereignty, interests and people.
Foreign Minister Abbas Arakich warns that the attack will allow the state to provide a legal response to invaders within the framework of self-defense.
