Iran wants the US to “support behind Israel and pay directly to the war rather than pursuing the project without paying any costs,” officials told CNN on Monday.
The decision by US President Donald Trump to order a strike against three Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday sparked a wave of anti-US sentiment in Iran, as people sought retaliation.
A massive anti-Israel protest was held in Tehran on Sunday evening, demanding revenge. After Israel launched an attack in Iran 11 days ago, Iranian forces launched waves of missiles and launched a drone strike against targets on occupied Palestinian territory.
“Morale is high and the immeasurable demand for Iranian people to attack Israel is unprecedented,” officials told CNN, adding that they are calling for Iranian people to attack Israel.
Officials added that Iran believes that seeking a temporary suspension to the war is “a deception to assess Iran’s preparations to continue the war.”
Officials added that Iran estimated the war could last up to two years, and that Iran was prepared for it.
