At a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the president recalled the recent events and said that the actions of the Zionist regime raised awareness among Iranian officials that it is not just political parties, minorities or specific groups that can defend the country, but Iran’s entire population.
Pezeschkian emphasized that this war and unity during this period presents opportunities for change in management perspectives and behavior among authorities, promoting true solidarity, harmony and cooperation.
Condemning the US Zionist attacks on Iran, he characterized the war as a tragic phenomenon, claiming that the Iranians were not instigators of the conflict. However, he stated that the Islamic Republic cannot remain vulnerable to such invasions, and emphasized the need to be prepared to protect the country. He expressed his gratitude to the military, law enforcement, security forces, and various segments of society, noting that this conflict marks a new era of courage, solidarity and cooperation.
Pezeschkian pointed out that the enemy relied on popular support in its naive miscalculation, highlighting the Zionist regime and its allies launched a 12-day attack. The Iranians defended themselves and responded to aggression, but the most important aspect was the unity of those who protected the territorial integrity of the country.
He noted that attacks on the enemy’s national television headquarters and other major centres were intended to incite Iran’s chaos, but their attempts failed thanks to public unity.
The president further said foreign intelligence agencies and hostile networks created obstacles within the country and tried to destabilize them. But all the Iranians gathered to defend the integrity of their country’s precious territorial integrity.
