Along with Tehranian people, figures from various government officials and celebrities attended funerals for more than 60 martyrs, including many women and children, including senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, journalists and the public.
In addition to President Masuud Pezeshkian, his Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and former Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, Ali Shamhani and senior adviser to the leaders of the Islamic Revolution were among the other officials who attended the funeral.
General Esmaeil Ghaani, commander of the IRGC Quds squad, was one of those attending the ceremony.
In addition to Javad Zarif, former First Vice President Esha Jahangiri and former Parliamentary Speaker Fujat Ulres Natek Nouli were present from the reformist side of Iran’s political spectrum.
Recent Israeli attacks on countries that received Iran’s crushed reaction have united the Iranian state despite a different political perspective to protect their country, just as they did during the Iraq War.
