Citing the latest statistics from the forensic organization, judicial spokesman Asgal Jahangir said Monday that 935 martyrs, including 38 children and 102 women, were pregnant, were identified during a 12-day war unfolded by the Zionist regime against Iran.
The attacks at the Evin prison alone killed 79 people, most of whom were in prisoners, aid workers and families of Evin prison employees.
“The whole world witnessed the war imposed and saw that the attacker’s initiator was an illegal Zionist regime. Everyone saw Iran being attacked during negotiations, and the country was justly defending and standing firmly on the battlefield,” he said at a press conference in Tearan.
“It was also clear that the US and Zionist administrations violated the fundamental principles of international law, crossed all red lines, committed historic crimes and attacked Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.
He also said Iran is maintaining its preparation and vigilance to give the enemy a “necessary and proportional response” if a possible aggression arises.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Nagil said the enemy had tried to bring Iranian people onto the streets and create chaos and instigation, but the state hampered the plot by showing “experimental and historical unity.”
He further pointed to a conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the country through the assassination of commanders and scientists, and emphasized that the enemy had received a prompt response under the “wise leadership” of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution.
“Relying on mercenaries, spies and sabotage networks, the enemy has tried to target Iran’s internal security. However, many intruders have been identified and arrested thanks to the vigilance of the people and the efforts of the judicial authorities,” he said.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant, unprovoked attack on Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.
More than a week later, the US jumped on the bandwagon and bombed three Iran’s nuclear presence with serious violations of the UN Charter, international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldead Air Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran was able to stop the illegal attacks through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
