“The proposed sales will strengthen Israel’s ability to meet current and future threats by improving its ability to advocate for Israel’s boundaries, critical infrastructure and population centers,” the U.S. Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement.
“The United States is committed to Israel’s security and it is important to the US national interest to help Israel develop and maintain a strong and prepared self-defense capacity,” he added.
The State Department approved the possibility of sales and the DSCA provided the necessary notice to the US Congress, which still needs to be registered for the transaction.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprecedented air campaign targeting brass from Iran’s nuclear sites, scientists and top military forces.
