“We are in an aggressive defence mode. Don’t tell us not to protect ourselves! Don’t ask tyrants who want to control the fate of humanity to surrender. Sheikh Naim Qassem said he provided a speech broadcast aired late on Monday from Beirut’s Lebanese capital.
He called Israel’s occupation of Lebanon’s territory temporary, while characterising its liberation as decisive. “This land remains noble, dignified and free by the will of God. Occupation is temporary, but liberation is ultimate.”
The Hezbollah chief said the continued conflict between the resistance group’s US and the Zionist entities was a fair and God-inspired battle, Press TV reported.
Sheikh Qassem later described Israel as “aggressive, oppressive and criminal groups” and described the United States as “tyranny” that seeks to destroy dignified lives around the world.
“Israel is a criminal and America is tyrannical. We both have the right to say ‘no’,” the Hezbollah leader said.
“Our commitment to protecting our land comes from the fact that it belongs to us,” Sheikh Kasem said, “No one else can take away this right for his own interest. We will act to defend our rights.”
The Hezbollah chief said Israel is on a rampage and so is the case for the United States. “They want to misuse the status quo to rebuild their region.”
“Anyone who supports Israel and the United States is the one who drives our country towards the brink of deep by,” Sheikh Kasem pointed out.
He urged every walk in Lebanese society to establish their national loyalty as their number one priority, and refrain from supporting the US and Israeli plans, particularly at this critical time.
“We can shape a future of dignity and be charmed when justice wins. That’s when we free our land and prevent Israel and the United States from imposing their dictatts on us,” the Hezbollah leader said.
