Switzerland said on Sunday that the Tehran embassy had reopened in the presence of an ambassador.
“As of today, July 6, 2025, the Swiss embassy in Tehran is open again after being temporarily closed on June 20 due to uncertainty in Iran.
“The decision to reopen the embassy came after a comprehensive risk analysis and consultation with Iran and the US. Switzerland represents Iran’s interests as protected electricity. In the current situation, embassy operations at the site will gradually resume. Continuously reviewed and adapted,” he added.
“Switzerland is in close progress in the development of the region and is in close contact with its partners. It is important that all parties return to diplomacy without delay. Good Swiss offices and Geneva are available for this purpose. Tehran, Switzerland, Switzerland and Switzerland can once again defend their roles.”
