The Yemeni leader made a speech in Sanaa on Asura Day, marking the anniversary of Imam Hussein, the third Shia Imam at the Battle of Karbala.
“Islam, which Imam Hussein had a martyr, is a religion that nurtures peace, not surrender,” he emphasized.
“The crimes committed today by the enemy of the Islamic state double our religious responsibility to confront the tyranny of America and Israel,” he said.
“Subbing to American and Israeli crime and corruption brings nothing but loss and humiliation.”
“Today, we witness the growth and expansion of resistance within Islamic Umma, facing US and Israeli oppression in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Yemen,” the Yemeni leader further argued.
“The Zionist Project is aggressive and destructive, targeting the Islamic State, and we will never retreat and we will stand up to it,” Houthi added.
“We are persistent in our stance of supporting the Palestinian people, opposing Israel and America, which are considered enemies of Islam and Muslims and are considered a threat to the entire Islamic world,” concluded the Yemeni leader.
