A spokesman for the Yemeni military said the country’s air defense system successfully repeled Israeli fighter jets and hampered plans to attack several Yemeni cities.
Yahya Saree said the Yemeni forces forced the Israeli Jets to retreat from Yemeni airspace and not to interfere with certain airstrikes.
In response to the aggression, the Yemeni army launched its own retaliatory operation using 11 ballistic missiles and drones targeting multiple Israeli sites.
Yemen used high-sonic missiles to attack Ben Gurion Airport, Ashdod Port and Ashkelon power plants, according to the statement.
Sally further declared that Yemeni drones were successful on occupied Palestinian targets, and that Israeli air defense systems were unable to intercept them.
Israel will understand that attacking Yemen will come at a heavy price, and Sally emphasized that these attacks will only increase Yemen’s resolve to protect the Palestinians.
