“Repeated unverified allegations will only help to broaden distrust,” the Iranian embassy wrote in a statement issued Thursday.
The statement also suggested that instead of making unfounded accusations against Iran, the report’s authors should be suited to search for Israeli regimes supported by Western allies to find the “root cause of the challenge” in the West Asia region.
“When Western countries look to all war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity, and attacks that are certainly violations of international law by the Israeli regime, they must inevitably look to the real response to the invaders.”
The UK has accused Tehran of being involved in security threats to the country.
Below is the complete statement released by the UK’s Embassy of the Republic of Iran.
The Islamic Republic Embassy in Iran has expressed its refusal to include strong protests and unfounded, politically motivated and hostile allegations here.
The Islamic Republic government of Iran has firmly denied all allegations made in these sections, and considers them to be baseless, irresponsible and reflect a broader pattern of distortion aimed at aggravating Iran’s legitimate regional and national interests. These claims not only lack substantial evidence, but also contradict the Islamic Republic’s principle commitment to international law, sovereignty and peaceful coexistence.
Needless to say, this biased political reporting is not only based on reality, but rather does not help resolve misconceptions, but by providing misinformation to public and political decision makers, complicating their understanding of the problem and causing miscalculation of their minds.
Any proposals that Iran engage or endorses any act of physical violence, spying or cyberattack on British soil or British interests abroad will be rejected entirely. Such accusations are not only slanderous, but also dangerous, they also promote unnecessary tensions and undermine diplomatic norms.
The Islamic Republic of Iran repeatedly called for the provision of credible evidence and expressed its preparation to engage in direct dialogue and cooperation between the Intelligence Reporting agencies of both countries to clarify and resolve these issues and prevent misunderstanding. Repeated unverified claims can only help escalate mistrust.
Iran has reiterated its commitment to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and is fully compliant with its obligations under the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty on Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Iran’s nuclear program is transparent, peaceful and subject to the highest level of international surveillance.
Furthermore, the Islamic Republic of Iran has condemned the continued weaponization of unfounded intelligence report assessments in order to justify hostile policies. It urges the UK to refrain from further spreading false information that damages bilateral relations and regional stability.
Instead of making unfounded accusations against Iran, the authors of the report should do better to look for the root causes of our local agenda: the various most serious crimes and illegal attacks committed by the Israeli regime supported by Western allies. When Western countries turn their eyes to all war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity, and certainly attacks that are violations of international law by the Israeli regime, they inevitably have to look to the real response to the invaders.
The Islamic Republic Embassy in Iran recommends that British officials, including British officials, including British Parliament, look at history again.
