The think tank report highlights China’s key practices that have consolidated and expanded the interests of China’s poverty alleviation following the declaration of a “complete victory” national to eradicate absolute poverty in February 2021.
The report entitled “Efforts for a Better Living for People: Practical and Theoretical Innovations in Integrating and Extending the Achievement of Poverty Relief” was released on Friday by Xinhua Institute, the national high-level think tank of the Xinhua Congress.
This report summarizes the practice in five important aspects.
They include establishing mechanisms to prevent reverting to poverty through dynamic surveillance and target support. Upgrade your infrastructure to bridge gaps for improved connectivity and integrated urban and rural development. Ensuring stable employment and increased incomes for the rural population through industrial development. Development of a specialized industry with integrated cluster development that benefits farmers. The report says it has a robust safety net with targeted assistance programs for those in need.
He said these practices, implemented during a five-year transitional period following China’s victory in poverty alleviation, ensured the continuity of poverty reduction policies, stability of support and sustainability of development.
“This has allowed previous poor communities and groups to steadily advance towards rural revitalization goals of thriving industries, livable environments, social politeness, effective governance and prosperity, thereby providing a robust foundation for agriculture and rural modernization.”
