The region’s governor, Bachir Kodor, said the administration’s war planes bombed the Wadi Fara region in the Bekaa Valley area on Tuesday.
“Camps for evacuated Syrians” were also attacked, resulting in the deaths of 12 martyrs, including seven Syrians and eight injured,” according to Lebanon’s national news agency, quoted by news television.
Khodr also confirmed that seven deaths are Syrian citizens and are often working in the agricultural sector of the Bekaa region.
In a statement, Israeli forces alleged that the fighters had launched “major strikes” on targets belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement in the region.
Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire. This came into effect on November 27th, 2024. Since then, the administration has violated more than 3,700 ceasefires by launching assaults on the country.
Under this contract, Tel Aviv had to withdraw its troops from the country completely, but maintained them in five locations in a clear violation of the terms of the UN Security Council resolution 1701 and the contract last November.
Lebanese authorities have repeatedly warned that regime violations of the ceasefire agreements threaten the country’s stability.
