In the continuation of his consultations, a bystander of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi met and met with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dal.
During the meeting, both reviewed courses of bilateral relations, cooperation, and ongoing regular consultations between the two neighboring countries. Iran’s Foreign Minister emphasized his commitment to continuing the positive trajectory of comprehensive development in the fraternal relations between the two countries, and expressed Iran’s preparations to further expand bilateral relations, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors.
He also thanked Pakistani companies and principled positions to condemn the attacks on Iran, and thanked the solidarity presented by the Pakistani government and people. Outlining Iran’s views on the regional security situation following the criminal military attacks by the Zionist regime and the US, Aragut said such attacks, which clearly violated the UN Charter, international law and the nuclear non-proliferation regime, introduced security and stability throughout the West Asia region.
He said the unified and decisive position taken by major regions of the region reflects common concerns about the serious consequences of Israeli and the US attacks, and constitutes a clear regional consensus on the need for collective measures to combat the expansion of Zionist regimes and the warming.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s solidarity with Iran in the face of Israeli-US invasions. He expressed confidence that the Iranian government and people will overcome these threats and continue on the path of national development and progress.
He further expressed his satisfaction with the regular and continuous high-level meetings and exchanges between the two countries, and expressed optimism that the removal of existing obstacles and the removal of existing obstacles will further promote and accelerate the process of deepening Tehran and Islamabad’s relationship.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged opinions on issues of mutual regional and international interests, highlighting the importance of ongoing coordination and cooperation at the International Forum.
