A recent report by the World Tourism Organization shows that Iran is listed among the top 20 tourist destinations in the world.
The results highlight the maturity of Iran’s tourism policy decisions, the resilience of the tourism industry, and the opening of a new chapter for public diplomacy through the “visiting Iran” website, which was mentioned on Wednesday by Anoushiravan Mohseni-Bandpei, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.
Referring to a documented analysis of UN tourism, Moseni Vanpei said that before the 12-day imposed war with the Israeli regime, Iran secured its position among the top 20 destinations based on data, before the war with the Israeli regime, where Iran achieved the best regional performance to attract international tourists and become a model of stability, attraction and diversity of destinations.
The rankings not only reflect the existing tourism potential of Iran, but also show an effective portrayal of smart policymaking, private sector collaboration, infrastructure development, and the true image of Iran in the world.
He hoped that by overcoming recent challenges, Iran’s global tourism rankings could be restored.
