In a statement released Wednesday, Iranian lawmakers said the offensive US government, particularly the president, is taking a deceptive approach in negotiations with Iran.
The US pretended to support consultations and diplomacy, but it was fully in cooperation with Israel and allowed the Zionist regime to launch a war of attack on Iran, the statement said.
It noted that the United States not only provided full military and intelligence coverage to the Israeli regime during the 12-day war with Iran, but also ultimately intervened and carried out in an act of attack through a symbolic attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The US has been cheating Iran and employing negotiations as a tool to conceal the surprising military strikes of the Zionist regime, so fresh talks will not take place unless certain prerequisites are fully met, the statement said negotiations are not possible.
The Zionist regime fought a war of aggression against Iran on June 13, attacking Iranian troops, nuclear power and residential areas for 12 days, but the US carried out a military attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, Natanz, Fordau and Isfahan on June 22.
Iranian troops carried out a powerful counterattack shortly after the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force implemented 22 waves of retaliation missiles against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which caused significant losses to cities across the occupying territories.
In response to the US attack, Iranian forces fired waves of missiles at Aldead Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
The battle was suspended due to a ceasefire that came into effect on June 24th.
