“As a result of our gender mercy-organised operations against terrorist organizations in 28 states, over the past two weeks, we have arrested 153 suspected of being involved in ISIL’s activities,” he wrote on his page on Social Network X (formerly Twitter).
Terrorist search projects were held in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya and Adana. Detainees are suspected of being involved in ISIL’s activities and fund social networks for illegal groups and their promotion.
Previously, on June 1, the Anadoru Agency reported the detention of Ozgur Altun, one of the leaders of ISIL, on the Pakistan-Afghan border. The operation has been designated as jointly carried out by the Turkish national intelligence reporting agency and the inter-sectoral intelligence reporting agency of Pakistan.
