Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragci and Switzerland Foreign Minister Inazio Cassis held a telephone conversation on Saturday to discuss regional development and bilateral relations.
Aragut strongly condemned Israel and the US’s recent military attacks on Iran, describing it as a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law. He emphasized the need for the state to take a firm stand against such illegal actions and hold invaders accountable.
Criticizing the biased stances of certain European countries attempting to justify these attacks, Araguchi warned that such actions encourage lawlessness and fueled local and global unrest.
Cassis reiterated on his part that he is ready to help Swiss commitment to diplomacy and resolve tensions. He described the military strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities as a violation of international regulations, highlighting the importance of ongoing efforts to prevent further escalation and instability.
Tehran and Washington engaged in negotiations led by Iranian Foreign President Abbas Aragut and President Donald Trump’s foreigner Steve Witkov, who held five rounds of indirect talks through Oman when Israel launched a series of unattacked attacks.
The Zionist regime fought a war of attack on Iran on June 13, attacking Iranian troops, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days, but the US carried out a military attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, Natanz, Fordou and Isfahan on June 22.
Iranian troops carried out a powerful counterattack shortly after the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force implemented 22 waves of retaliation missiles against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which caused significant losses to cities throughout the occupying territories.
In response to the US attack, Iranian forces fired waves of missiles at Aldead Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
The battle was stopped due to a ceasefire that came into effect on June 24th.
