The third Shusha Global Media Forum under the theme of “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of Ai era” began on Saturday in Shisha, Azerbaijan.
The forum brings together up to 140 international representatives from 52 countries and represents more than 30 news agencies, seven international organizations, nearly 80 media and other entities related to the media environment.
Participants in the forum include media representatives from overseas media, as well as Azerbaijani, experts and officials.
In an interview with Mehr news agency correspondent on the summit bystanders, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said, “The relationship between Tehran and Baku is maintained at a very good level, the relationship with Iran is excellent and these relationships continue.”
“I recently hosted Iranian President Maud Pezeshkian in Kankandi, and this was a positive event,” he pointed out.
Regarding the construction process for the Alas Corridor through the Aras River, President Azeri said, “The construction process for this corridor is on track and this project is almost finished from our side and we are waiting for the Iranian company to finish its role related to Iran.”
“We have completed an important part of this corridor at Aghband-Kalala-Jolfa. We believe this project will be in operation by the end of this year,” Aliyev said.
According to Aliyev, “The route from Iranian soil to Jorfa has been built and will soon be operational as a rail route.”
Finally, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan emphasized to Mel Reporter, “Please tell me my greetings to the honorable President of Iran and Iranian brother Masuud Pezeshkian.”
