Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, chairman of the Iraqi Representative Council, received an Iranian delegation from the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament for the meeting.
At the conference, al-Masihadani congratulated Iran’s Islamic Republic on the recent victory in conflict with the Zionist regime, highlighting the direct support of the Israeli regime in the recent war, with Iran winning a major victory over the Israeli regime.
During the war, Zionists were refuge in shelters and were terrified, but the Iranians lived normal lives, climbed up from the roof of their homes, laughing at the Zionist regime.
Emphasizing that the Iranian people are sources of pride for Iraqis, and that Iran and Iraq are two neighbouring countries with common policies and interests, Mashdani emphasized the need to establish a strong relationship between Baghdad and Tehran.
“If Iran is invaded, Iraq will support it,” he said.
Mashdani also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Islamic countries and creating effective solidarity in the Islamic world.
