Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragci held a telephone conversation with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Monday.
During the call, two Iranian and Turkish diplomats discussed bilateral relations, recent regional and international developments, and issues of mutual interest.
The two ministers also exchanged opinions on the escalating situation in the region, particularly the fierce attacks by the Zionist regime on the defenseless people of Gaza and the military attacks on Syria.
Iran’s foreign minister has strongly condemned crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the escalating genocide through deliberate denial of water and food, particularly against the Palestinian people, the ministry’s website reported.
He also called for serious and immediate action by Islamic countries and emergency meetings of Islamic countries, including the OIC Summit, to halt Gaza genocide and stimulate regional consultation mechanisms to combat the military attacks of the occupation regimes throughout the region.
The Turkish foreign minister condemned the crimes and attacks of the Israeli regime in both the Israeli regime and Syria, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated and decisive action by Islamic countries to suspend the criminal laws of the Israeli regime.
