The worsening hunger has spread throughout the strip with complete closure of all intersections for 145 consecutive days and the continued prevention of essential humanitarian assistance and baby prescriptions.
In a statement released Thursday, the government media office in Gaza warned of the near absence of food, water and medicine. The Strip emphasized the urgent need of at least 500,000 sacs of flour per week to avoid an entire humanitarian collapse.
The office is also working on circular claims made by some activists outside of Gaza, suggesting that hunger has been broken or “hundreds of aid trucks” have entered, staunchly denying the assertion.
“These claims are in reality unfounded,” the statement stressed, warning that such stories risk Israeli propaganda and distort the truth of ongoing humanitarian crimes.
