Around 100 passengers were on the train when at least two horse-drawn carriages partially derailed. According to the district fire chief, around 50 people have been injured and many are seriously.
The cause of the derailment is still unknown, but the area was hit by a storm early in the evening.

German police said Monday that the derailment in southwestern Baden-Württemberg is likely to be caused by landslides caused by heavy rain.
“The water caused landslides in the embankment area near the tracks, and possibly caused a derailment,” investigators said.
The derailment came after the region was hit by a storm over the weekend.
Investigators said at least 41 people were injured according to the latest information available.
Officials said about 50 people were injured in previous counts.
Also on Monday, the German Weather Service (DWD) warned of continued heavy rain in Baden-Württemberg, with showers reaching 20-30 liters per square kilometre (approximately 13.7-20.5 gallons per square mile).
