Serge Aurier played four seasons with Tottenham Hotspur FC (109 games) and three seasons with Paris Saint-Germain FC (78 games played).
French website Monde Muslim sheds light on the impact of Islam on new purchases of Persepolis FC in Iran.
Aurier, the captain of the Ivory Coast national team, was previously a Christian, but after his studies he finally decided to convert to Islam.
He reportedly accepted Islam after the African Country (CAN) 2015. Posting on Mondemuslim1’s Instagram Aurier said, “I embraced Muslim religion after 2015.

Shortly after Ivory Coast acquired African countries, the Iborian footballer converted to Islam. He described it as a turning point in his life, leading to greater happiness and more meaningful presence. He emphasized the importance of understanding religion before being converted, rather than chasing someone blindly.
The new Persepolis defender said about the impact that Islam has on his life, “Since I became Muslim, I have become more calm and thoughtful. This is truly the most beautiful thing that has happened in my life.”
The new purchase joined the Persepolis team in Türkiye a few days ago. The 32-year-old joined Persepolis’ training camp in Erzurum, Turkey, and confirmed his contract with the team on Sunday.
Aurier began his professional career with Lens II in 2009, then played for clubs such as Toulouse, Tottenham Hotspur, Villarreal, Nottingham Forest and most recently, Turkish Giants Galatasaray.
