Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi met with President Tajik Emomali Ramon on his arrival in Dushanbe as he was visiting Tajikistan for consultations with senior officials.
The meeting was held at Qasr-e-Millat (National Palace), and the Iranian foreign minister greeted President Tajik and the people from the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized Iran’s resolve to expand relations with Tajikistan in all areas of mutual interest.
Referring to the deep bonds and understanding of friendship and understanding between Iran and the Tajik people, particularly shared language, civilization, history and culture, emphasized that Iran is committed to harnessing these unique and valuable commonalities to strengthen and deepen the economic relations of economic, trade and cultural education.
President Emomali Ramon welcomed the Iranian Foreign Minister and expanded his warm greetings to leaders of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and President Pezeshkian. He described the relationship between the two countries as special and rooted in historical friendship and mutual love, underscoring the need to further strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the two discussed the current state of bilateral relations and explored opportunities to expand cooperation.
They also reviewed the latest developments in neighboring regions, including the Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan and Western Asia, and shared opinions and analysis on the dynamics of these regions.
