Qasem Galibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister of Legal and International Affairs, issued a statement in an interview with the official website of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution.
According to news television, Galibabadi emphasized that legal follow-up in the Islamic Republic after the recent attacks was an important part of the work, as US and Israel’s crimes were completely violated international law, the UN Charter and human rights.
The Iranian deputy minister said two reports have been prepared regarding legal violations during the attacks of the US and Zionist regimes and children, women and families, and their documentation work is almost complete.
“The invaders have received a solid response, but now our job is to legally follow up on it… The documentation work is almost complete. Several comprehensive international reports have been prepared and registered with the Security Council and the United Nations,” Gallibabadi said.
“Unfortunately, legal work in the international field is intertwined with political stance and approach, which is not disappointing,” he added.
“The first stage is registering and documenting these crimes, filing a lawsuit, and seriously pursuing them. If you get results, it’s great. And you have to put all your efforts into achieving that outcome. Even if it fails, you should not abandon your work.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked war with Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.
More than a week later, the United States also took part in the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites with serious violations of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24th, Iran was able to prevent illegal assaults, as overwhelmed by constant counter strikes, through the successful retaliation operation against both the Israeli regime and the United States, as Tel Aviv was forced to seek a ceasefire.
