At a ceremony in Zanjan on Thursday, Pezeshkian welcomed the “honorable” powerful defense of Iranian people, police, security forces and missile scientists during the 12 days of the Israeli-US war on the Islamic Republic on June 13th.
He appreciated the great efforts made by the Iranian army, including the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), during the imposed war.
“Despite all the threat and pressure from the enemy, these forces … defeated the Zionist regime (equipped) and the Zionist regime (equipped) in the United States, which enjoyed all the advanced military equipment and targeted with missiles,” the president said.
Pezeshkian emphasized that despite the Iranian state and military faced severe sanctions, he defended the state’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
