In a recent interview with Adnan Hussein, a correspondent at Lebanon-based MEHR News Agency, Adnan Hussein, a former Minister of Lebanese Society, led by Prime Minister Saad Hariri, experienced a stance of resistance in the current situation after three visits to Lebanon’s development and particularly to the Emboy Tom Barracks in the United States. He also mentioned crimes committed by the Zionist regimes in Lebanon and in the region. Here are Mehr’s questions and the Minister’s answers:
In response to questions about Barak’s recent visit to Lebanon, the former Lebanese minister stated, “On Tom Brock’s third trip to Lebanon, he expressed his disappointment because he thought he would receive a different response from what he had previously received from Lebanese officials. The pressure means that the Zionist regime will be able to act more freely in Lebanon.
In response to the question of whether Washington would put pressure on the Zionist Israeli regime, Hussein noted that a different US regime had put pressure on Lebanon.
“The Biden administration has given Tel Aviv all the weapons and means of destruction it needs.”
“The West has no pressure on Zionists, the US administration has no pressure on Israel, and it hasn’t seen what is happening in Gaza. It testifies to that fact. Hamas has proposed several initiatives that Zionists have rejected. The scenario still wins in the White House.
In answering questions about the American project and Washington’s attempts to play a role in mediating the rise and relentless attacks of Israel, and the question, “Why did the Resistance and Lebanese government agencies reject those proposals?” The former Lebanon minister said, “Lebanon’s resistance rejected the American initiative, especially the final version. They want to surpass Resolution 1701 regarding the obligations of the Zionist regime, but Israel has no adherence to anything, but there are people like that when Hezbollah’s weapons are enveloping in the existence of an empire across Lebanon. The aggression of the Zionist regime will say it’s natural for the Lebanese authorities to say.”
“What do you think of the internal situation in Lebanon at the present stage given the position adopted by Lebanon President Joseph Aung? Can American envoys incite the Lebanese team against resistance?” Hussein said, “Of course, this is what the US is doing in all Arab countries now in that there is a serious risk facing Lebanon’s domestic politics and is split into internal fabrics. Mr. Ueded, a unified underise from Syria and Iraq, and from Afghanistan to Afghanistan. We are distrustful of all the pressures in the United States and the best response to Israel’s unity, especially after the end of the Soviet Union (hegemony).”
He continues, “Lebanon’s main responsibility is to maintain its unity. This unity is stronger than any weapon the Lebanese army or the Lebanese resistance has. Once this unity is achieved, strategic and tactical measures can be taken based on that unity to stand up to Israel’s attacks.”
