Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian and Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif held a press conference after signing 12 cooperation agreements in Pakistan’s Islamabad on Sunday.
“In a short period of time, the volume of trade relations between Iran and Pakistan can be increased from the current $3 billion to $10 billion,” President Pezeshkian said.
The president once again thanked the support company for the stance adopted by the Pakistani government during the recent US-Israel attacks on Iran, saying, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to his prime minister, other officials, and to the friendly and brotherly nation of Pakistan’s Islamic Republican Party.”
“There was a good agreement in the political, economic, commercial and cultural fields, and important documents have been signed between the two countries. This will promote relations between the two countries in the fields of science, culture, tourism, trade and transportation. We are determined to implement these important agreements by continuing agreements of contact and discussion, development of rail, maritime markets, and development of trade between development of trade. In this regard, constructive discussions were held with the two countries.”
According to Pezeshkian, “Given the threat of terrorist groups in border regions, we believe there is a lot in common with regard to regional and international development given the joint cooperation to highlight border security.
“The two countries emphasize the crimes of the Zionist regime and the continued genocide of the people of Gaza, and the continued genocide of their actions in the region and the need to stop these crimes,” the Iranian president added.
