Speaking Monday, Gallibabadi outlined the terms of Iran going to start negotiations with the US, including lifting sanctions, saying, “The lifting of sanctions should not be linked to negotiations with the US. If the US does not come to the negotiation table or if the negotiations do not have a foundation, these positions do not exist.
He said, “We live in a world where economic infrastructure and economic and trade activities are interrelated and it is true that countries must interact with one another, but there are many possibilities, especially beyond their neighbors and neighbors.”
The Deputy Minister said, “We are currently under sanctions, but we are carrying out economic and commercial activities and selling oil. They wanted to sell oil to zero, but we should not tie the fate of all countries into negotiations, as there are many ways and possibilities.”
“We shouldn’t tie everything to negotiation,” Galibabadi further insisted.
He said, “If sanctions can be lifted through negotiations, it’s not a great move, it should be done. But if they want to abuse the negotiation table, of course, they shouldn’t tie everything into negotiations.”
