Ebrahim Azitzi, chairman of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, has denied media speculations about the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reopening testing of Iran’s nuclear sites.
He said the IAEA delegation scheduled to visit Iran next week will only have permission to hold technical consultations with Iranian officials and experts.
He stressed that under any circumstances, Iran will not allow physical access to nuclear facilities, according to some laws approved by the Iranian parliament.
Azitzi pointed out that interaction with Iranian foreign organizations is limited to technical cooperation with the aim of exchanging expert opinions and resolving ambiguity.
Earlier on Monday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeir Bhagihai said that representatives from the UN nuclear agency are scheduled to travel to Tehran within the next 10 days, and announced plans to visit Iran by the IAEA’s technical delegation.
