President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed former National Security Council (SNSC) former secretary, Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, as his special representative and head of Iran’s headquarters for national and strategic project development.
In an order issued Wednesday, the president said the headquarters is expected to promote unity between the government and its people, and that it is working to eliminate barriers to effective civic participation, particularly among Iranians living abroad, domestic and international investors.
The headquarters aims to mobilize national potential to achieve key strategic goals, particularly within the nation’s intellectual and elite communities.
The Ahmadian has been leading social media since May 2023.
In another order on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian appointed veteran politician and former Congress president Ali Larijani as head of the social media club.
