Sanctions violate Yemeni’s decision to block the transport of ships related to “Israel” by the Yemeni army or travel to occupied Palestinian ports, Al Mayaden reported.
In a statement carried by Yemeni news agency Sabah, the Centre confirmed that Yemen had “imposed sanctions on 64 companies that violated the naval blockade imposed on Israeli enemies.”
The statement added that since the lockdown began, the Centre has contacted the ship ownership company to notify the restrictions. Despite receiving prior warnings, these vessels entered occupied Palestinian ports and urged the imposition of sanctions.
The Centre said it would “be held entirely responsible for the consequences of these sanctions,” and asserted that “sanctions will continue to be imposed on businesses that violate the Navy Blockade, regardless of nationality.”
