Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeli Bagihai denied the time or place to resume negotiations with the United States, calling recent rumours an attempt to create “tensions” by parts of “psychological warfare” and enemies.
Baghaei mentioned rumors about negotiations between Iran and the United States, denying the setting of time and place for such consultations.
In response to questions about news of mediation by countries other than Oman for indirect consultations between Iran and the United States, an Iranian spokesman said he was unaware of the source of such news.
He said, “Over the last three to four weeks, fake and manufactured news have been released repeatedly, and their inaccuracies have been proven multiple times. Some of the news aims to escalate tension.”
He pointed out previous fake news about the evacuation of foreign embassies in Tehran as an example of such fake news.
“Specific diplomatic paths have always been present through the interest sections of both countries (the Swiss embassy in Tehran and the Pakistan embassy in Washington). Furthermore, it is natural for mediators to convey their messages at different times, but this is not uncommon.”
