During the call, the two top diplomats exchanged opinions on recent regional and international developments and bilateral relations.
Iran and Egypt’s foreign ministers discussed the tragic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip that comes as a result of the continued oppressive siege of the enclave and the aggressive planning of the Zionist regime to intensify the attacks and fully occupy the strip.
They highlighted the need for effective action by Islamic countries to stop Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and the immediate flow of international humanitarian assistance to enclaves.
Araghchi and Abdelatty also discussed the development of Lebanon, highlighting the need to maintain an atmosphere of trust and internal coordination among various political factions, and avoid actions that could lead to internal tensions.
In this regard, foreign ministers of Iran and Egypt thought that the Zionist regime should completely withdraw from the occupied territory in southern Lebanon and stop the attack on Lebanon.
