The emergency session was requested by the permanent missions of the UK, Denmark, France, Greece and Slovenia, according to information obtained by the Anadolu Agency on Friday.
Diplomatic sources said the meeting was approved by all members of the Security Council except Panama, the current chairman.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoons.
The move comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to fully occupy Gaza city was announced early Friday.
Israel is already facing anger over genocide in Gaza. There, since October 2023, it has killed more than 61,000 people. The military campaign devastated the enclaves, leading to deaths from hunger and starvation.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Joab Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The Israeli regime is also facing a genocide case in the International Court of Justice due to its war with the enclave.
